I said a Hip hop, a hippity hop, Egyptian Hip Hop Haven't stopped.

Two years ago back in 2010 Egytian Hip Hop took the indie scene by storm, they had a lot of hype, the sound was different, they wore weird cloths, were from Manc and people loved them, I loved them, NME loved them (not that that says anything...) They were just cool. But shortly after they're metaphorical storm had teared its way through festival season, and press from some of the biggies. It was forgotten, and disappeared into the ibis, leaving fans having to clean out the musical debree in their minds.  Well they are back with they're new album released late  this October 'Good Don't Sleep'. People its only got better. Looking slightly older. without the masked or dressed like they got trapped in a Rockit Vintage bargain bucket for 6 months, and had to come out wearing orange velour. The sound is more refined, it feels as though the intent of the music was well known this time around, nothing about it shooting in the dark. The break has defiantly been a good thing for the band. Despite the fact that the sound they produce, a sort of psychedelic prog rock / guitar pop may well be deemed over, the buzz around it has faded. The fact is, good music, takes a good deal of time and you can only respect them for relying on their own talent and not releasing a 2nd album off the back of a great deal of media praise a year after the first EP was released. In all I think it's good and everyone should have a listen. Download now.
