$$$ *Don't Give Him Your Last Tenner * $$$

There's a time old tradition. Women will always provide for the Artiste  We've all been there. Mysterious, talented, intelligent, more then ample amount of luscious locks. Does something all together very interesting, but entirely un-fruitful with his life. Though, as these relationships may be a social gain, they are a massive finical loss. Being in a band that is so cool, that only about 25 people  know you actually exist, does not really keep the cash flow going. Making art so obscure, and abstract that only about 3 % of the world understand it, may lead to critical acclaim, but not to financial success. The worst bit is, the artiste them selves don't care. Clever peoples goal in life, is for other clever people to clime up their arses and write articles about them using words and statements like "visionary" "The peirhead of the movement" "revolutionary" "the voice of a generation" once this happens life is complete for them. They die penniless, clutching their forgotten Album that was once said "to change the face of guitar music" they are, in fact fundamentally happy. As nice as this un-materialistic notion is, its not going to get you any closer to the Acne pistol boots.

As you work 9 to 5, and they stay at home drinking your milk. You begin to feel the constant sucking of the best looking leach you've ever seen. Clad in tight fitting jeans, and shirts that look like a unicorn threw up on them. You pay for the cabs, you pay for your freinds birthday present, for the cinema, the food, TV licenses. He get's the occasional dinner as some cheap Japanese diner. One thing keeps a girl going. The notion that maybe, your Artiste will wake up and want to brand himself, sell out commercialise as all intelligent people do. Become one of the people even your cabby knows. Enabling these boys with constant finical support only leads to forty year old, once very trendy guy, who thought being freinds with famous people and having the ever chased 'talent' made him one of important ones. In reality when the youth culture they were apart dies, and another takes over, they die along with it. Only to be remembered for thirty seconds in a documentary twenties years down the line with a photo of them drunkingly stumbling out of a club with someone that actually did make it. What ever did happen to The Thrills?
